1. What do I bring to the classroom?
Ans: You must bring a valid South Carolina state ID. Also proof of current address, which MUST match your valid ID. Also pen/pencil, note pad and/or notebook for notes. Note: You must wear pants to support a holster, sneakers or shoes (sandals, flip-flops, high heels, bedroom slippers or crocs are not allowed). The range is an outside range, please dress accordingly.


2. What kind of firearm should I bring?
Ans: You MUST bring a firearm you have fired before the class. I can not teach you to use your firearm during the class or at the range. Please make sure the firearm you bring, you are comfortable with it and is not to powerful. I recommend a .22 LR pistol or a .9mm for qualification.


3. How should I carry my weapon to class?
You MUST bring the weapon you intend to qualify with, and keep it in your car until told to retrieve it, also NO less than 100 rounds of ammunition. Your weapon MUST BE UNLOADED and secured in a handgun bag. DO NOT come to class with your weapon in a holster concealed, you are not certified until S.L.E.D says so, you will not be allow into the classroom.


4. How much is the training class?
Ans: The CWP training class is $100.00 per seat, Payment must be received 3 days before the class begins, (If you are an employee of Wal-Mart the fee is $75.00, you must provide your ID) and that includes classroom training material, firing range, eye & ear protection. 5. What will I receive after the training is complete?
Ans: If you pass the S.L.E.D written test, and qualify on the firing range you will then receive your student checklist, application and all the necessary information to file your paperwork with S.L.E.D.


6. How do I receive my CWP?
Ans: You will take your copy of your student checklist, your application and a small fee to IdentGo, please call 1 866-254-2366 for an appointment.  We do not guarantee S.L.E.D will certify you, we only provide the required classroom training.


7. Can I attend the class if I have a criminal record?
Ans: It depends on your offense of the LAW; Felony convictions are not eligible to obtain a CWP. If you have any kind of domestic violence offense, you are not allowed to attend a training class. Some misdemeanors will disqualify you from getting a CWP. If you are not sure please check with SC code title 16-1-60 , before you attend. There are NO REFUNDS, NO PARTIALS.


8. What happens if I fail the training class or range qualification?
Ans: You can retake the test on a later date; the charge will be $55 dollars for retest. You can not pass one and not the other, both parts MUST be passed. At the range you are required to score 35 out of 50 target shots.
